SELL THE STARS

We reached for the stars
Always aiming, shooting far
Always building  higher
But now we’re selling the earth to the highest paying buyer
And if they change the world, make us a ghost?
Oh, well they paid the most
As we sell the stars instead of reaching for them
Our hopes and dreams start to dim
And when we realize what we’ve done
Too late they’re gone, and now there’s none
We have to use the ideas that we have left
To stop this outrageous theft
We have to take the stars back
And make up for their lack
By striving to learn
Our passionate flames can still burn
History should not be assembled
By every time our world trembled
History should not be about
All of our doubts
History should not be defined
By all the times our leaders were blind
So keep what you’ve got
Before our world ends and rots

BEAR

I once saw a little bear
Eating honey in a chair
The small bear jumped up
And with no hold-up
His honey fell in his hair!

HERCULES

Hercules smells like a zoo
One day he ate my kazoo
Whenever he growls
He sounds like an owl

Just waiting to hoot who-who
